The film follows Mr. Deen, a dedicated teacher who discovers that one of his students, Nate, has been living out of his car and has landed in jail. What begins as a simple act of kindness—bailing Nate out—quickly becomes a life-changing journey as Mr. Deen fights to help Nate confront his traumatic past and overcome his inner demons.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to stay for a brief panel discussion featuring the filmmaker, CASA staff, and child advocates, offering insight into the film’s themes and the real-world impact of advocacy for children who have experienced trauma.
