There is still so much we don't know about trout behavior, and this redd survey project is a great resource to begin building up a body of data about when and where our resident trout are spawning.

Like prior years, the plan is to meet at 7:45am at the WDNR Wild Rose Fisheries Habitat Station (N6154 State Rd 22 in Wild Rose). We will start the morning with coffee and donuts followed by classroom training outlining the Redd Survey process. We will then head out to the field to get hands on training to identify redds, how to enter your observations into the app properly, and tips on how to go about conducting your own surveys.

Lunch will be provided around Noon for all participants and it is hoped that many attending the workshop can spend the afternoon conducting Redd surveys as part of a team!

Fox Valley TU will be sponsoring both a breakfast and lunch for this event, so please RSVP in order to provide a headcount for food - Thanks!
