It’s scary hearing the word cancer but the strength from our community, friends, and most of all our family is what keeps me so positive. - In Loving memory of Sandra T. Cote - "Mrs. C" It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of Jessy’s mother, Sandra T. Cote. She passed away on September 26, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. We would like to express a very special thank you to the D’Amour Cancer Center at Baystate Health and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. We will now be accepting memorial donations in Sandy’s memory. - Jessy's Story: To be 27 years young and receive the news that you have a brain tumor is scary, but then to find out it is a cancerous tumor is a complete and unexpected shock! I felt numb when I learned the news from the doctors at Baystate Medical in May of 2017. So many things ran through my mind, but having my husband Sully by my side when they delivered the news helped to ground me. He has been my rock through all of this and I would not have been able to accept this diagnosis without his strength and support! My hope has been to help others going through this awful process and to bring some hope to them. Cancer is ugly, exhausting, and unfair. We wanted to hold events where people gather and forget about the worries that come hand in hand with the disease. The support from my family, friends and the community is what keeps me so strong! Today I am 7 years cancer free!!! I will have routine scans to monitor where the tumor once was and hope it never decides to return. Cancer always has you looking over your shoulder but you need to wake up each day and be grateful you have another day to live!
