Improversed

Improversed brings together spoken word artists with three musicians in a performative combination that has never happened before.

A drummer, bassist and guitarist begin accompanying a spoken word artist and have only artists intuition to make the performance work in real time. Guest spoken word artists may know full well what pieces they will perform but the musical direction they travel in unfolds as it begins. Hosted by our headliner Louise Fazackerly who will welcome along fellow spoken word artists Dave Taulty, Natasha Tingle and Kyle Nathan Brown before we switch to an open mic format for even more improvisational verse.

New to spoken word? No problem. Improversed is about atmosphere, energy and connection, a relaxed, welcoming night where anything can happen and no two performances are ever the same as the musicians are literally making it up on the spot.

If Arctic Monkeys, Lauryn Hill, Sleaford Mods, Jamie T, Massive Attack or The Streets are on your playlists, Improversed is absolutely for you - cool, raw, and totally different to your usual night out.
