Vantan – Lärm, Licht und leise Zwischentöne

Am Ende der Straße flackert ein Licht – vielleicht eine Bühne, vielleicht ein brennender Mülleimer. Vantan geht hin, singt drüber. Ihre Songs sind Momentaufnahmen aus Zwischenräumen: rau, lyrisch und manchmal wütend.
Zwischen Barpiano, Drum-Machine und einem Schlagzeug, das wie ein kaputter Herzschlag klingt, erzählt sie von Einsamkeit, Konsumrausch, Fantasie, Avocados und Backlash.
Musikalisch irgendwo zwischen New Wave, Post-Punk und avantgardistischem Liedgut, klingt ihr Projekt, als hätte Diamanten Gallas in einer Altbauküche Kate Bush gecovert – mit einem rostigen Vocoder und ein bisschen zu viel Wiener Staub in der Lunge. Das E-Piano ist ihre Komplizin, ihr Widersacher, ihr Motor. Der Sound: roh, ruppig, atmosphärisch. Die Texte: poetisch, politisch, persönlich – zwischen Beobachtung und Vision, zwischen Märchen und Realitätsabgleich.
Am 21. November feiert Vantan in der Roten Bar des Volkstheaters den Release ihres neuen Songs „Backlash“. Beginn ist um 21:00, präsentiert wird der Abend vom Volkstheater Wien und Superego Records.
Neue Musik, scharfe Kanten, klare Haltung.

At the end of the street, a light flickers – perhaps a stage, perhaps a burning trash can. Vantan goes there and sings about it. Her songs are snapshots of in-between spaces: raw, lyrical, and sometimes angry.
Between bar piano, drum machine, and a drum kit that sounds like a broken heartbeat, she speaks of loneliness, consumerism, and backlash.
Musically somewhere between new wave, post-punk, and avant-garde songs, her project sounds as if Diamanten Gallas had covered Kate Bush in an old kitchen – with a rusty vocoder and a bit too much Viennese dust in her lungs. The electric piano is her accomplice, her adversary, her engine. The sound: raw, gruff, atmospheric. The lyrics: poetic, political, personal – between observation and vision, between fairy tale and reality check.
On November 21, Vantan will celebrate the release of their new song "Backlash" at the Volkstheater's ROTE BAR. The show begins at 9:00 PM and is presented by Volkstheater Wien and Superego Records.
New music, sharp edges, and a clear stance. Admission: €15.
