And the press agrees: Modern Vinyl says “For some bands, hitting 25 years together seems light years away. For The Slackers, it’s a cause for celebration. The band is deeply rooted within the ska movement, while their self-proclaimed ,Jamaican Rock‘n‘Roll‘ sound sets them apart from many bands today.“ Other press state that the Slackers are “the best ska band in the world” (Rude International), “the pick of the US crop” (Metal Hammer), “the sound of New York’ (New York Times), “is about as close to perfect as it gets” (Ink 19), and “one of the best bands in the United States” (axs.com). www.theslackers.com Leah Farmer and the Badasonics: Leah Farmer steps into the spotlight with her debut solo album, a vibrant collection that transports listeners through the sounds of the 1960s with a fresh global twist. Known for her work with The Bandulus and The Cascadians, as well as featured appearances on numerous releases, Leah now takes center stage to showcase her voice and songwriting in a project that feels both timeless and original. The album weaves together the warm grooves of reggae and rocksteady, the playful charm of French yéyé, and the heartfelt storytelling of Southern Soul. Rich textures and a nostalgic character tie the diverse influences together. The result is a cohesive journey through styles that defined an era while still sounding uniquely Leah. https://badasonicrecords.bandcamp.com/album/leah-farmer-the-badasonics DJ Clemens (Boss Sounds Vienna) Vorverkauf/Presale Arena Shop € 27,- (+ € 3,- Fee) Abendkassa/Box-office tba.
