We will explore physical changes, emotional & energetic changes. This weekend will be a deep dive into the world beyond all that we think we know. The dance will be supported by the use of costume and theatre techniques. Teacher: Jup Jansonius (Amsterdam/Genua) Level of the workshop: Waves/Heartbeat Jup Jansonius (Amsterdam/Chiavari) is practicing 5Rhythms since 1995. She is certified to teach Waves, Heartbeat, Elective and God, Sex & The Body. She combines her experience in education, art, dance, theatre & yoga with a dash of social science & humor. Her intuitive way of working creates a safe playground for you to explore the less highlighted parts of yourself. Me & the dance: Im a dedicated dancer since 30 years and teaching 5Rhythms for 12 years now. The first time I stepped on a 5rhythms dancefloor I had the feeling that somebody switch on the light bulb of my life. It was as if ,for the first time, I understood life in its essence and at the same time I felt myself deeply dropping into the mystery of not knowing anything. It was the most liberating experience and ever since that moment im a forever student in this practice. Each dance is a new discovery, each step an adventure. During my years on the dancefloor I was fortunate to dance many times with Gabrielle Roth. Her teachings still guide me. As a teacher I hold the Waves, Heartbeat and God, Sex & The Body map. My home Rhythm is Flowing. My personal life: My flow brought me to life in Italy after living in the Netherlands for 54 years where I run a guesthouse and an olive grove with my partner. I have a beautiful daughter who lives in the Netherlands. I hold a degree in Social Science, am trained as a coach and projectmanager for non-profit organisations and I m a Yin yoga teacher studying TRE when Im not travelling. Back in the days I was trained to be a stand up comedian but I didnt like to be funny for the sake of fun.
