We will search for the connection with our breath and how it moves us. There is no movement without breath. Moving with the breath and letting ourselves be moved by it, we will explore our connection to different parts of our body and experience how different aspects of ourselves can meet, communicate, and move together. From connecting with ourselves, we will open up to meeting others—discovering connection through presence, space, rhythm, and movement. How do you know you are connected to your breath and a body part? What if you cannot feel the connection to a certain body part? What happens when you allow different parts of yourself to meet? What changes when you move with another person? Can you find a way to maintain the connection with both the other person and yourself? This is a physical and experiential practice, so you don't have to know the answers—you can come and learn by doing ;) You are very welcome just as you are :* My name is Franka. I fell in love with the 5Rhythms practice back in 2017, and since then I have been attending workshops and classes, exploring this map that still inspires me in exploring and discovering new layers of my being and deepening my connection with my own body, heart and soul. For me, this practice has been many things – a refuge, a place of welcome and acceptance, a safe space for my free expression, crazyness, creativity, feelings, pleasure and connection to myself, others and something even bigger – the dance itself. I am teaching this practice with the intention of holding space for embodiment and its many gifts. Besides dance, I also completed a two-year education in expressive art therapy and am currently student of the fifth and final year of therapeutic training for body-oriented psychotherapy. I am curious and enjoy digging; into myself to see how deep does the rabbit hole go :D.
