Formed in Nancy in 2020, Rancoeur cultivates a unique blend of genres. Between punk and cold wave, Oi! and post-punk, the band crafts a dark, edgy sound, always a little off-kilter, as if ready to derail unexpectedly.

After four pressings of their first album and several international tours, the band returned to the studio in 2025 to record the ten new tracks of Fatalité, their second album. Released on Longshot Records (USA), Contra Records (Germany), Kanal Hystérik (France), and TAE Records (Spain)!
