EDGE OF FIRE – eine 5Rhythmen-Wave mit Zdenka Sajko (HR)
This staccato journey is a ritual of breath and embodied fire.
We move where spirit sharpens into form,
where clarity is not force, but devotion,
and where connection begins with presence.
Each step, a prayer.
Each breath, a threshold.
Each movement, an offering of presence, power, and living heat.
Come breathe.
Come move.
Come walk the sacred edge.
fire blood
at the bottom of being
spilt between
bones and memories
raises its brow
breathes deeper
moves in circles
sacrifices feet to the waves
breaks these waves between thighs
breaks the spells with the hips
walks the line
wears its heart on the sleeve
burns the breath out of rib cage
marks the territories
melts open the mind chambers
sets fire among weeds and bramble
and burns, purges, clears
with no mercy for lies
bursts with delight
joyful in its plasmatic core
quietly pulses, shines, smoulders
at the navel of the world, body, being
in the sphere of the ever-darker night
keeps life at the source of passion
at the source of the dawning

About Zdenka:
After endeavours in singing and acting, my feet found themselves in 5Rhythms dance at the turn of the millennium. Since then I have flowed, stumbled and frolicked on many dance floors around the world. With Gabrielle Roth’s blessing I have been facilitating and inspiring others to find their own unique movement and expression through dance since 2005. Currently, I am living in Zagreb, Croatia, with my teenage daughter.
Deep down we all long for the same thing – to be seen in our essence and to connect with others from that gentle and vibrant inner space. My greatest inspiration in teaching is that we all, empowered, refreshed and resourced by dance and body movement, find our way through the shadows of our own psyche and come out on the other end feeling more alive every time we dance. Authenticity, freedom and joy are just waiting to happen when we give them enough empty space. There is nothing to fix, just to remember who we are at our creative core and let the mystery of life take over.
