As we walk slowly through Spike Island's unique mix of nature and industrial heritage, we'll meet the site's plants, trees and creatures and get to know them a bit better.After gathering our inspiration, we'll head to the Catalyst to write - with plenty of examples and prompts given to help you get going. You are free to choose to create a poem, prose piece, mixed words and images or reflective journaling.No writing experience is necessary. Just bring a pen and a willingness to give it a go.I'd love to hear some of your writing in our small group, but it is your choice whether to share.I'll be gathering photos of people's writing if they are happy to share to a wider audience to celebrate Halton's creativity for Culture 26.Come connect, create, and get inspired by the natural world around us!This workshop will be led by Janine Keeble - I'm a local counsellor, nature connection guide and therapeutic writing facilitator. I aim to make my events friendly and welcoming for all.The event is funded by Halton Council's Community Development Fund and I have been supported by the Catalyst Museum to bring it to the people of Halton.
