The LWV Book Club is kicking off its fall meetings with Jill Lepore's Book, "We the Women," a fascinating look at the women who fought to make the U.S. Constitution live up to its promise of equality.

Join us Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Rockwell Branch Library, 5939 E. 9th St. N., next to Edgemoor Park.

We'll likely spend both our October and November meetings discussing We the Women, then we'll choose our next read together. Wichita League members Ernestine Krehbiel and Denae Lyons will lead the discussion. 

We the Women is available on Kindle and Audible, for purchase at Watermark Books or Amazon, and for free checkout by placing a hold through Wichita Public Library.

Whether you're a longtime League member, a book lover, or simply curious about the conversation, we'd love to have you. Bring a friend and join us!

You do not need to be a League member or have read the book to join us!
