- **Event Description**: Help us launch our spring exhibitions with cultural performances, a cash bar, light appetizers, and the company of art-minded friends. The event takes place from 5:30-8 p.m., this Thursday, January 29 at the Museum. Everyone is welcome at this free event!

The theme of this party, which takes place on Kansas Day, is Ad Astra. Guests are encouraged to dress in blue and silver in tribute to the glorious stars that light up our vast night sky.

Ulrich Executive and Creative Director Vivian Zavataro will present welcoming remarks at 6 p.m. Brothers Taiomah and Kineu Rutledge of Warclan Collective will demonstrate drumming with their family drum at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The drum acts as a tool for healing, bringing communities together, and upholding cultural traditions. 

Parking Info:
Two staff members will assist with golf cart transportation.
• Pick-up begins at 5:15 p.m. from the event lot at Fairmount & 17th (southeast corner) to the Ulrich entrance.
• Accessibility assistance is available: guests may be dropped off in front of the Museum and transported to an accessible entrance. If no cart is present, call the number posted at the top of the entrance stairs.
• Additional parking is available north of McKnight Art Center, on the south side of Deurksen Fine Arts Center.

* ???? ?????: ??????? features seven mixed media/two-dimensional sculptures by the Malaysian artist. On view in the Amsden Gallery
* In Place | ??????? ????????: ???????/?????????? is the first in a series focusing on Wichita artists. On view in the Grafly Gallery
* ????, ??? ???: ????????? ?????????, ??????????, ??? ????????, co-curated by Vivian Zavataro and our visitors, is the culmination exhibition of her Ulrich Co-Lab series. On view in the Polk/Wilson Gallery

*** Spring cleaning? Turn your gently-used art supplies into creative fuel for students. Bring paint, brushes, sketchpads, yarn, pastels, tools, fabric, — you get the idea — with you to this event and drop them in the collection box outside the front door of the Ulrich. 

All donated supplies will be placed in The ART DROP locker, where students can access materials for free — supporting creativity, sustainability, and community all at once. ***
