On Saturday, October 3rd from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., visit the Mid-America All Indian Museum for Indigenous Peoples Remembrance Day and the Annual Trail of Tears Memorial Walk. The event will start with a welcome and blessing, followed by a reading of the Indigenous Peoples Day Proclamation and a memorial walk around the drum on the back grounds of MAAIM. Community resource and health stations will be available on site as well as hands-on activities and games for the kids. 

IMPORTANT! Please park at Exploration Place and walk across the Keeper Plaza to MAAIM, as the small parking lot in front of the museum is reserved for elders and handicapped
