Join us from 10am until late for our regional winter spectacular. This event marks the beginning of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival in the region with a rich celebration of culture, community and the arts.

This year, the event will be even more meaningful as the community comes together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Port Pirie. There will be special tributes throughout the day including a High Tea with musical entertainment, photographic display and incredible lighting around Memorial Park.

An incredible program of live music is headlined by My Cherie, an alternative pop and indie folk/rock singer/songwriter based on Kaurna Land (Adelaide) and ably supported by a line-up of talented local and regional musicians.

We are honoured this year to host Kaurna Yarta - The Seasons, a breathtaking cultural performance featuring Taikurtinna Dance Group and Bowerbird Collective.

Other Festival highlights include:
- Youth Zone featuring a Silent Disco
- Kids Zone featuring face painting and arts and crafts
- Sensory Zone including Lolly Jar Circus and soft play area
- Arts Tents and workshops
- Rides and amusements
- Return of Festival favourites Nylon Zoo and Flux Entertainment
- Food & Market Stalls and so much more!

Zero Waste Event:
This year’s Port Pirie SALA Winter Festival is proudly a Zero Waste event. We ask all food and market vendors to use food/beverage packaging that are certified compostable, environmentally friendly materials.

Council may support vendors with signage to showcase their actions and educate the community. Our goal is to minimise waste, so we appreciate your support in using sustainable alternatives. We’re not just celebrating creativity—we’re doing it sustainably.
