La caminata será en español e inglés.About this EventCNPS San Gabriel Mountains Chapter invites you on a nature hike in the canyons of Puente Hills. The Sycamore Canyon Trail is an easy hike along a dirt path. We will travel about a half mile and return to parking lot (total length ~1 mile).We will visit coastal sage scrub intermixed with riparian habitats; the trail follows a stream bed. Cris will discuss the plants in bloom and also discuss the ecosystems as we pass through the different areas of the canyon. Note:there is poison oak along trail.Since there are also significant invasive plants, we will discuss the impacts of non-native plants on the native ecosystem. The hike is open to all, members and non-members.Leader: Cris Sarabia, Conservation Director for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land ConservancyParking: street parking and small parking lot (11 spaces)Toilets: portable toilet in parking lotBring: water and sun protection; long pants are recommended to protect from poison oak.Questions: Please send an email to sgm.newsletter@cnps.org.
