Tired of seeing Elf and Home Alone in cinemas over Christmas? Black Pearl Cinema provides an exciting, spine-chilling alternative with a rare showing of 1972 cult horror film, Tales from the Crypt, a unique horror film from the Amicus stable of cult films, directed by the distinguished British director, Freddie Francis. The action begins at Christmas with Joan Collins encountering a Bad Santa that has to be seen to be believed. This is the first in an anthology of horror stories with a fascinating cast of British character actors. Collins is joined by Ralph Richardson, Peter Cushing, Ian Hendry and many more. Freddie Francis was an Academy Award winning photographer who worked with directors like David Lynch and Martin Scorsese who carved out a niche for himself with horror films for Hammer Studios as well as Amicus. Tales from the Crypt is one of his best-remembered films in this genre and has not been seen on the big screen since the 70s.
