Miss Lake Whitney Pageant--

The Whitney Lions Club is inviting young ladies from across the area to participate in the Miss Lake Whitney Pageant on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Whitney ISD Auditorium (305 S, San Jacinto St).

The pageant returns during an especially historic year for the community, as Whitney celebrates its 150th anniversary and the nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

“I was sad to learn that the Chamber was not holding a pageant during this historic year,” organizer Dana Farias said. “On top of America250, our community has a lot to celebrate.”

The Whitney Lions Club, celebrating its 95th anniversary this year, is sponsoring this year’s pageant. The event will continue the longstanding Whitney tradition of celebrating confidence, community, and hometown royalty.

Contestants will compete in four age divisions:

Tiny Miss: Ages 0–4

Lil’ Miss: Ages 5–9

Jr. Miss: Ages 10–14

Miss: Ages 15–19

The entry fee is $25 per contestant, and admission for guests is $2. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Proceeds from the pageant will benefit PawsPlace Rescue, Inc. and the Whitney Park Board.
