Students in EMCO 240 Performance and Stagecraft present Three Persistence, student performances featuring three one-act plays by acclaimed contemporary playwright David Ives. Known for his dazzling wit, inventive language, and masterful short-form theatre, Ives is best known for works such as All in the Timing and Venus in Fur, as well as for his celebrated adaptations of classic French comedy.
In this showcase, students bring Ives’s sharp humor, theatrical imagination, and emotional intelligence to life onstage through three distinct one-act plays. The performance highlights the work of emerging actors and theatre makers in EMCO 240 while inviting audiences to experience the playful, surprising, and deeply human possibilities of contemporary drama.
Two performances available: a Wednesday matinee or Thursday evening.
