This event is in support of Mano en Mano based in Milbridge. Mano en Mano works with farmworkers statewide and immigrants in Downeast Maine to empower them to thrive. The evening will feature a live performance by Minor Characters, preceded and followed by WSHD DJ Gunther Valentin (virtually) spinning some tunes. All proceeds from the door will go to Mano en Mano. Suggested donation of $10-$20 dollars.

Minor Characters are highly regarded for their lively Roma and Django style jazz tunes and songs, playing rousing sets around DownEast, Maine. Minor Characters features Sheila Unvala, fiddle; Sepp Huber, Accordion; Robert Sanchez, guitar; Heron Weston, bass; Jenny Penny, drums.

Gunther Valentin is the DJ and producer of the Friday night show, Maritime & Punishment, on WSHD-LP. Each show revolves around different themes and no genre is spared. Acadian country, free jazz, avant-garde, electronic, and much more can be heard on the airwaves Downeast on 93.3 FM 8-10 PM.
