- **Event Description**: Join us Friday, January 30th, for the annual Reuben Brown House Preservation Society Meeting & Dinner at Columbus County Arts Council located 822 S. Madison St. in Whiteville. 
Everyone is welcome. Cost is $25 per person for a social time and dinner provided by the talented Whiteville Women's Civic League. The social begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 6:15 p.m. and the annual meeting is at 7 p.m. Reservations and prepayment are necessary.
To confirm your reservation, please reply by email to tnleggett@ec.rr.com and mail your check on or before January 27th to: Tom Leggett, treasurer; PO Box 2147, Whiteville, NC, 28472.
If you are interested in history preservation and literary events, consider joining Reuben Brown House Preservation Society. Our members enjoy hosting living history events, the annual A.R. Ammons Poetry Contest and social events at the historic Reuben Brown House. 
Membership dues can be mailed to Tom Leggett, treasurer. Preservation Level $250, Heritage Level $100, Schoolmaster Level $50, Couple Membership $30, Individual Membership $20. Your membership dues support our programs and restoration projects.
