The Academy offers a balanced approach during early basic obedience training. Your dogs will learn appropriate socialization behavior, early basic obedience commands, hand signals, verbal cues, sit, down, stay, early recall, walking on a leash, out (drop it) command and leave it, place command. In this class you will progress and proof the skills learned in Puppy basic as well as preparing for level 1 Advanced Obedience as your puppies enter adolescence.

Equipment you will need for this class is a martingale collar or slip 6 ft. leash, 20-30 ft leash, healthy high value treats, toys, ball or training toy. No harnesses, halties, retractable leashes or bungie leashes.

*You will need a dog cot for this class.

This is a foundation class to prepare puppies for basic, intermediate and advanced level obedience. This is a 8 week 1 hour a week session.

*Prerequisite - Completion of Puppy Basic Obedience.

Note: Covid restrictions - one handler per puppy can attend this class. One child can attend with the handler.
