This year, we’re going bigger, brighter and more participatory, with four brilliant artists working alongside local schools, community groups, families and residents to create the festival together.

Musician Jack McNeill will be bringing people together through the Everyone Orchestra, creating an exciting new musical experience for Light Works 2026. 

Whether you’re a seasoned musician who wants to develop your group playing, a musician looking to dip your toe into the world of orchestral music, or part of a school group that simply wants to make a brilliant racket together, there’s a place for you. 

Whether you learn by ear, or improvise, you’ll be included, supported and encouraged to be part of something extraordinary. 

Come and meet new people, reconnect with old friends and discover what happens when voices, instruments and ideas come together. The Everyone Orchestra will create a unique musical celebration of the changing seasons, bringing the wider community together through music.
