The Town of White Pine in East Tennessee and Joshua Loveday, Doctor of Pharmacy student of South College School of Pharmacy, are piloting the first ever White Pine Health Fair, bridging the gaps in rural medicine, and providing access to healthcare and medical resources in this small rural town. 🏥✨

This event will be a tremendous collaboration of many medical offices available in White Pine, with some providing free services such as blood pressure checks and glucose readings.

🩺 Avenues of medicine represented will be:
• Primary Care
• Dental Medicine
• Vision Care
• Pharmacy & Medication Safety
• Vet Medicine
• Physical Therapy
• Women’s Health
• Mental Health
• Fitness

Rural communities are faced with some of the greatest barriers to accessing health care and these are known as social determinants of health. Our hope is that this public event will be informative to the community, emphasizing many of our local providers in White Pine, and offering resources & literature all about the importance of taking care of our health!

📅 WHEN: Saturday, October 10th, 2026 | 10:00 AM — 3:00 PM
📍 WHERE: Community Center / Ruritan Building (1820 Maple Street, White Pine, TN)

This is a public event open to anyone interested in hearing about the medical facilities available in White Pine specifically or anyone wanting to learn about medication safety. A growing rural community starts with a healthy community, and this is a huge step in public health efforts of White Pine.

Special thanks to Joshua Loveday (pictured on the left), Mayor of White Pine, Glen Warren (pictured on the right), and the Director of Parks & Recreation, Adam Wilson, for piloting this movement.
