Unplug, slow down, and awaken your senses. Join DCNR Conservation Volunteer and certified Forest Therapy Guide, Matt Shope, for a gentle, immersive experience along the beautiful Gould Trail.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this one to two hour experience isn’t a strenuous hike or a nature lecture. Instead, it is a slow, mindful journey where you will be offered gentle sensory invitations to tune into the sights, sounds, and textures of the forest, concluding with a quiet, restorative tea gathering. 

Wear comfortable layers and sturdy trail shoes. Bring a water bottle and an open mind. No prior experience is necessary.
