Participants will learn how traditional healers, often called “granny witches,” used native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and other natural materials in healing remedies. The session also examines the influence of Indigenous knowledge and early Appalachian settlers while exploring plants still found throughout Nescopeck State Park today.

This presentation is a historical exploration of traditional wellness practices. It does not include diagnosing, treating, prescribing, or spellcasting.
