X Marks the Spot: A Deeper Dive - White Bear or the Wild West?

In this series, we will take a deeper look at the ten topics highlighted in our new exhibit: X Marks the Spot! which showcases ten of the places around the lake where history has happened. Through our collection of photos, records, and artifacts, we will peel away the layers of local lore and dive into what we know about each topic.

This lecture series will take place at the White Bear Lake Armory. No registration is required!


July 8 - White Bear or the Wild West?

On a summer morning in 1909, the White Bear State Bank was robbed of all its cash. Dive into this story of how people responded to protect their community and how the story has evolved through the decades.
