Mainly using a random weave, this is a class where, once you’ve learnt the basics, you don’t have to concentrate too hard and you can chat as you weave! There are, however, some interesting techniques to learn for the details of legs, comb and tail feathers – all borrowed from traditional basket making.

There is plenty of room for creativity and you don’t even need to stick to chickens. Any bird of a similar size is possible – whether real or the product of your imagination. You bring the ideas and I will help you turn them into sculpture!

Suitable for beginners and those who have worked with willow before.

All materials will be provided (including a metal framework to weave onto).
