AFSP is committed to saving lives by making it safe to talk about mental health — every day, on every jobsite — by equipping construction craft and industry professionals, as well as their companies, with the tools to take care of themselves and each other. 

This Informational Breakfast is a 2-hour meeting facilitated by AFSP volunteers that provides partner organizations with resources and programs created for suicide prevention in the Construction Industry. During this breakfast we will also be introducing Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention in the Construction Industry. 

After attending, participants will be able to:

Describe the impact of suicide in the construction industry
Recognize suicide warning signs
Provide examples of how to approach someone you’re concerned about
List ways to seek and offer support and resources for yourself and others
Understand the next steps on how you can bring all of these resources to your workplace
