The Lore of the Norns: Weavers of Fate, Keepers of Time
In the shadowy roots of Yggdrasil, three powerful beings stir the waters of destiny — Urd (What Was), Verdandi (What Is), and Skuld (What Shall Be). These ancient figures of past. present, and future known as the Norns. The ancient weavers shape the threads of fate for gods and mortals alike. Guardians of the Well of Wyrd, they represent the sacred cycles of time, choice, and consequence.
Join us for a mythic deep dive into the lore, symbolism, and spiritual significance of the Norns. In this presentation we will discuss:
•The role of the Norns in Norse cosmology and myth
•The concept of Wyrd and fate in Norse tradition
•Cross-cultural parallels to fate-weaving spirits, goddesses and figures throughout various pantheons.
•How to work with the Norns in modern spiritual practice, divination, dreamwork, and in ritual.
This class is perfect for those drawn to ancestral wisdom, fate magic, and the mystery of time. We’ll also learn to create a symbolic thread sigil to honor your own Wyrd and deepen your connection to the unseen forces at work in your life.
