Astrology Foundations: A Three-Part Learning Series with Cheryl Corson
Astrology is built on three fundamental pillars:
the 12 signs of the zodiac, the 12 houses of the horoscope, and the planets—the living “actors” that animate every chart. Together, they offer insight into our strengths, challenges, and the energy patterns that shape our lives. While astrology doesn’t dictate our destiny, it does provide meaningful guideposts to help us navigate our path with clarity and intention. And you don’t need to be an expert to benefit from its rich symbolism.
What to Expect
Join us for the full series or simply attend the classes that speak to you. Each session is designed for beginners and those with existing astrological knowledge. We’ll explore how to get the most from an astrology reading, what to look for when choosing an astrologer, and each class will include space for your questions.
Attendees who register at least one week in advance will receive a copy of their natal chart, along with guidance on how to read house placements, sign symbols, and planetary glyphs.
Class 1: Signs of the Zodiac
Most people know their Sun sign—but all 12 zodiac signs shape our inner world and collective experience. Each sign offers a distinct way of seeing, interpreting, and engaging with life. For example, Gemini gathers information and explores polarity, while its opposite sign, Sagittarius, uses that information to form a broader philosophy and unified vision.
In this class, you’ll learn:
• The 12 signs in six illuminating opposite-pair dynamics
• The essential energy and traits of each sign
• Planetary rulers, elements, modalities, and seasonal correspondences
• Body associations and how these archetypes show up in daily life
Whether you’re new to astrology or looking to deepen your understanding, this course offers a solid foundation for exploring your cosmic blueprint.
Meet your astrologer:
Cheryl Corson has studied astrology since the late 1980s. She has studied with several notable astrologers and is continuing to elevate her knowledge. Cheryl studied Coaching at the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2019 and became nationally certified in Health & Wellness coaching (2021-2024). She uses coaching’s positive psychology model as the framework for her astrology consulting. Cheryl offers astrology readings at the 9 Collective in Lancaster, in her Marietta, Pennsylvania studio, and online through Pittsburgh’s wellness center, Rooted in Sound.
Note: All tickets are final sale. No refunds will be given unless the event is cancelled. There are no outside food or drinks permitted however there are beverages for purchase. There is a large free parking lot outside and the venue is ADA accessible including the restroom. Scented candles and herbs are burned inside the shop daily.
