Astrology Foundations: A Three-Part Learning Series with Cheryl Corson
Astrology is built on three fundamental pillars:
the 12 signs of the zodiac, the 12 houses of the horoscope, and the planets—the living “actors” that animate every chart. Together, they offer insight into our strengths, challenges, and the energy patterns that shape our lives. While astrology doesn’t dictate our destiny, it does provide meaningful guideposts to help us navigate our path with clarity and intention. And you don’t need to be an expert to benefit from its rich symbolism.
What to Expect
Join us for the full series or simply attend the classes that speak to you. Each session is designed for beginners and those with existing astrological knowledge. We’ll explore how to get the most from an astrology reading, what to look for when choosing an astrologer, and each class will include space for your questions.
Attendees who register at least one week in advance will receive a copy of their natal chart, along with guidance on how to read house placements, sign symbols, and planetary glyphs. (Your registration form will ask for your birth date, time, and location.)
Class 2: The Houses
In astrology, the 12 houses represent the full landscape of human experience. Each house governs a distinct area of life—personal resources, family and home, relationships, travel, creativity, career, community, spirituality, and more. While the zodiac signs describe how energy expresses itself, the houses reveal where that energy shows up.
Understanding the houses helps us interpret the motion of planets at birth, in the present moment, and in the future—offering insight into where opportunities, lessons, or transformation may arise.
This class will explore:
The meaning and theme of all 12 houses
How specific life areas (money, partnerships, work, health, etc.) correspond to each house
How planets activate different houses through transits
Why horoscope writers use house systems to make predictions for groups
How to identify which house to examine when seeking guidance on any goal, question, or life pursuit
Whether you’re building your foundational knowledge or refining your astrological practice, this session will help you understand the “map” of the horoscope and how it highlights the unfolding story of your life.
