Techniques that are heaps of fun to do and completely transform your favourite jumpers, cardigans, socks etc into wearable clothes of beauty. Timebank member, Anne Fraser from Whangārei Intercept Fabric Rescue (an Organisational TTT member), uses her magical sewing skills to teach how to needle-felt colourful fleece in various shapes over holes or stains; repair bigger holes with felt patches; embroider shapes over holes or stains; pull seams together using a simple ladder stitch; repair ‘ladders’ in wool garments and other embellishment techniques! Anne will provide: ·      knitwear for you to practice on and keep, but you’re welcome to bring your own items to repair if you wish.·      some tools available to use, but she recommends you bring your own scissors. ·      some wools and embroidery threads for people to use Tea and coffee will be available.Please no children, it’s not a safe environment with pins, needles, scissors etc laying around. Tai Tokerau Timebank members ‘pay’ in time credits.Non-members $10. Places are limited to 12.
