She has been writer-in-residence at Ilkley Literature Festival, Victoria Baths and Saul Hay Art Gallery, and has shown concrete poetry in exhibitions including the Manchester Open. She was longlisted for the National Poetry Competition 2024 and her latest book, Wanderland (Red Ceilings, 2025), was nominated for the Wainwright Prize and is a Poetry Book Society Summer 2025 Listing. It follows the poetry pamphlets Lune (Red Ceilings, 2023), Using Language (Invisible Hand, 2023) and cache-cache (Contraband, 2022), and prose collection Marine Drive (Broken Sleep, 2022). Her work has recently appeared in aswirl, Blackbox Manifold, Long Poem Magazine, Poetry Scotland, Spelt and The Manchester Review, and she reviews for PN Review and The North.DAVID GAFFNEY ~is the author of the novels Never Never (2008), All The Places I’ve Ever Lived (2017) and Out Of The Dark (2021), and the flash fiction and short story collections Sawn-Off Tales (2006), Aromabingo (2007), The Half-Life of Songs (2010) and More Sawn-Off Tales (2013). He has published two graphic novels with Dan Berry – The Three Rooms In Valerie’s Head (2018) and Rivers (2021) – and is working on a third. His short story collection Concrete Fields (Salt Publishing 2023) was long listed for the Edgehill Short Story Prize, his collection, Whale, was published by Osmosis in 2024 and his latest collection of experimental prose, Lakes of Titan, is out now on Above/Ground press.JEREMY OVER ~lives on a hill in the middle of Wales near Llanidloes. His poems have been published in various anthologies including Carcanet's New Poetries II and the Penguin Book of Oulipo. He has had four collections with Carcanet, the most recent being Fourth and Walnut which came out in February of this year.'FRANCES PRESLEY ~was born in Derbyshire and lives in London. Publications include Lines of Sight (Shearsman, 2009), which focuses on Exmoor’s Neolithic stone sites, and a collaboration with visual poet Tilla Brading, Stone Settings (Odyssey, 2010); An Alphabet for Alina, with artist Peterjon Skelt, exploits the lexical and visual possibilities of an alphabet for girls (Five Seasons, 2012); Halse for hazel (Shearsman, 2014), which received an Arts Council award, explores marginal trees and languages, continued in Sallow, (Leafe, 2016), with images by Irma Irsara; Ada Unseen concerns the life and work of Ada Lovelace, mathematician and computer visionary, who lived on Exmoor (Shearsman, 2019), and a collaboration with Tilla Brading: ADADADA (Odyssey, 2022). Presley’s Collected Poems 1973-2020 were published by Shearsman in 2022. Black Fens Viral (Shearsman, 2025) begins on a slow train through East Anglia’s flat, agricultural, landscape of black peat, once marshland. ‘Viral’ refers both to Covid and to a text generator known as the Markov Chain. The first poem was a Literary Pocket Book (2021) by Steven Hitchins. Presley has written many essays and reviews, especially on innovative British women poets.
