Whether you are stepping onto a boat or stand-up paddleboard for the first time or looking to reconnect with a lifelong passion, our club offers a safe, fun, and friendly environment to get on the water. Planning Your Visit Lake and Clubhouse Visits: Visits without a taster sail are free and advance booking is not necessary. You, your friends and family are welcome to drop in, walk around the lake, have a picnic, and enjoy the waterfront. Taster Session Tickets: Advance booking is essential for sailing dinghy and SUP Sail taster sessions. Each adult, youth or child participant requires one individual pre-booked ticket. Tickets are limited to one session per person, per year. Sailing Taster Session Times: 12.30pm, 13.30pm, and 14.30pm. Duration 30-minutes. Stand-Up Paddleboard SUP Sail Taster Session Time: 14.00pm. Duration 60-minutes. Bring Your Own SUP: Is free and advance booking is not necessary. You’re welcome to bring your own SUP to explore our scenic lake and wildlife. Paddleboarders must wear a buoyancy vest and a leash (leg-rope, ankle-leash or calf-leash) at all times when on the water. The ability to get back on your board unassisted while in the water is required. Competence to SUP independently may be assessed for safety purposes. Scavenger Hunt. Everyone, especially families and children are welcome to take part in our scavenger hunt. Meals and Snacks: Enjoy the hospitality of our club galley for cake, burgers, wraps, salads and refreshments. Bar: Soak up the friendly club atmosphere and make new friends over a soft drink, beer or prosecco at the club bar. Your Sailing Taster Sessions: Sailing Dinghies and Stand-Up Paddleboard Sailing (SUP Sail) Open Day begins with a warm welcome from our friendly members. You’ll be guided to explore the waterfront, visit our clubhouse, and enjoy the hospitality of our galley and bar. An experienced club sailor will introduce you to our multi-person training dinghies, each accommodating our club sailor and one or two guest crew. Our experienced club members will provide you with all the necessary safety equipment, including buoyancy vests and a full safety briefing before you begin. We offer four types of Sailing Taster Sessions. Adult and Family Sailing: Perfect for parents and their children, friends or individuals, accompanied by an experienced club member at the helm. If booking for a child, we require a parent or guardian to accompany the child on the same boat. Youth Sailing: Designed for youth sailors to discover sailing alongside our experienced youth members. Phabsail Sailing: A fun experience for sailors with disabilities or special needs, their family, and carers.
