CFFA Beginner Fly Tying Class
Starts - January 8, 2026
All classes to be held at the Pitkin Community Center, 30 Greenfield St., Wethersfield, CT 06109
7 Classes: 6:00 P.M. TO 8:45 P.M.
This is a beginner class and is also suitable for experienced fly tyers that want to refresh their skills. The Class covers the myriad species of flies, how to tie specific patterns and the materials and tools to craft a fly by hand. All classes are taught one on one with with experienced instructors.
Class 1: Jan. 08: Introduction to Fly Tying, Tools and materials and techniques.
Class 2: Jan. 15: Streamers and Nymphs
Class 3: Jan. 22: Tie 2 Nymph Flies
Class 4: Jan. 29: Tie Emergers - Klinkhammer and Wet Flies
Class 5: Feb. 05: Dry Flies - 2 Patterns
Class 6: Feb. 12: Dry Flies and Spinners
Class 7: Feb. 19: Streamer Flies and Terrestrials

Adults who attend with paid youth may take the course at no cost.
