- **Event Description**: Athena Co-Op Theatre, in collaboration with Westwego Performing Arts, invites audiences to experience the heartfelt and humorous production of Love Loss, and What I Wore, written by acclaimed sisters, Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and based on Ilene Beckerman’s beloved 1995 book of the same name.

Since it’s Off-Broadway debut in 2008, Love, Loss, and What I Wore has captivated audiences with its relatable stories exploring love, loss, identity, and the deeply personal connections we share with the clothes that accompany us through life’s milestones.

Through a series of touching and often hilarious monologues and ensemble pieces, the production seamlessly weaves together memories of first dates, weddings, heartbreaks, friendships, family relationships, and the bittersweet nature of growing older.  From a favorite dress worn to impress a crush to a cherished blouse that evokes memories of a beloved grandmother, each garment becomes a thread in the tapestry of a woman’s life.

Rich with warmth, humor, and emotional honesty, the play creates a space where audiences can recognize their own experiences and reflect on the memories stitched into their own wardrobes.  Its blend of comedy and poignancy celebrates the resilience, complexities,  and evolving identities of women everywhere. Audience members often leave the theater with a sense of nostalgia, remembering the people, relationships, and treasured articles of clothing that marked their own journeys. Directed by Jennifer Shea  produced by Athena Co-Op Theatre and Westwego Performing Arts, the production features an outstanding cast including:
