We will create a spring themed wreath by weaving a variety of fresh botanicals into a grapevine wreath. Eventually as the wreath dries out over time it will morph into a dried creation.
If you have attended one of our workshops before and can bring to reuse a grapevine wreath please bring it along
For planning purposes please let us know.
In 1973, when Steven and Carol MacLaury were newlyweds, they were weekend silversmiths and ceramists with day jobs in the dentistry field. As Certified Dental Technicians for forty five years, working side-by-side, their creativity had been channeled into fabricating microscopically precise gold and porcelain dental restorations. Coming full circle, Steve and Carol have transitioned back to the artistic freedom of being artisitc craftsmen utilizing all the skills they have honed over the decades. Steven and Carol have been working together with the natural world for 52 years creating handcrafted beeswax candles, elegant botanical luminaries, honey soap products and woodturnings from exotic and local woods and unique silver jewelry.
Carol draws on her intense passion for gardening and the natural world in all of her handcrafted designs. Her passion for woodland floral designs is displayed in her wreathmaking and centerpiece arrangements.
Steven and Carol are juried members of 802ArtsHouse, Vermont Hand Crafters and tenured members of The Weston Craft Show. They were also past longtime members of the West River Farmers Market in Londonderry, VT, where they shared their other passion of beekeeping marketing their Vermont honey, handcrafted soaps, and beeswax candles for 18 years.
