We will sing from the 2025 revision of The Sacred Harp. Loaner books available, no experience necessary!


FRIDAY NIGHT 
 July 10th, 6:30pm to 9:30pm - Valley Pocket Harmonist Singing

Location: La Poêle, 5333 Av. Casgrain, room 307 (3rd floor, from elevator turn left and wind through hallway). Montréal, QC H2T 1C1. Alternate entrance at 5334, Av. De Gaspé (back door, find elevators at the end of the long hallway)

Accessibility: elevators available via front entrance (with steps) on Av. Casgrain. Restrooms are quite small and not wheelchair accessible. Room will likely be warm, bring a re-usable water bottle.
Parking: limited street parking, be attentive to signage to avoid tickets in areas reserved for permit holders. Public transit strongly recommended to avoid parking hassles. Closest metro station is Laurier on the orange line, a 12 minute walk from the venue. 


SATURDAY ALL-DAY SINGING

Registration opens at 9am, with singing beginning at 9:30am. Local singers will provide a colourful and hearty "dinner on the grounds" (lunch) and singing will end at 3:15pm.

Accessibility: Building and washrooms are wheelchair accessible. Building has AC, but might still get warm depending on the weather. 

Parking: No parking lot. Free residential street parking available

To get there without a car: Orange metro line to Vendôme station + short bus ride on bus 105 or Orange metro line to Villa Maria station + short bus ride on bus 103. Venue is very close to 138, 162, 105 and 103 bus stops.
Bike: A few Bixi (self-serve bike rental) stations very close to the singing venue.



SATURDAY EVENING SOCIAL July 11th, starting at 4:30pm - Social after the singing

Location: Terrasse Saint Ambroise, 5080 Saint Ambroise St, Montreal, Quebec H4C 2G1 
Children permitted. Food and drinks sold. Menu available here: https://mcauslan.com/la-terrasse/ 

Accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible building, outdoor terrace and washrooms.

Those wanting to hang out nearby but not in the restaurant/bar can picnic on the nearby canal.

Parking: free parking for customers.
       

SUNDAY SINGING July 12th, from 10-4pm - Ways Mills for the Eastern Townships 
All Day singing at the Ways Mills Community Hall in Barnston-Ouest, very close to I-91 into Vermont. 1h40 minutes from the Montreal All-Day event at Kensington Church. 


Accessibility and Accommodations for Montreal Saturday event: 

Kensington Presbyterian is wheelchair accessible. While there is AC it can be quite warm so dress appropriately and hydrate!

Free childcare is being offered on Saturday by two experienced child-minders. If you plan to use this service, it is helpful but not required to fill out the childcare section on the Google form below. If it is a heatwave, the childminders have offered to take kids to a nearby splashpad so bring suits and towels if that is something you'd like your child to participate in.

Accommodations with local singers may be available for those who would like. Please fill out the Google form with your request no later than July 4th so the housing coordinator can try to find you a couch or bedroom for the weekend.
