In 2003, he was awarded first prize by the Fondation de la Vocation in Paris. He began his professional painting career in 2013 with a highly acclaimed solo exhibition at Galerie L’Œil du Prince Gallery in Paris, followed by a second solo show the following year. In 2015, he made his U.S. debut with the exhibition “Urban Life” at Abend Gallery in Denver and became a finalist in the prestigious ARC Salon. He was also named an “Artist to Watch” by Southwest Art Magazine and featured in the book Tall Trees of Paris. His work later became part of the international collective Americans in Paris and was shown in the Jetset Collection exhibition at Vanessa Rothe Fine Art Gallery in California. Over twelve years, Nicolas Martin has held nine solo exhibitions (Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Los Angeles, etc) and participated in more than thirty group shows internationally. His work has been featured in numerous leading art publications, including Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, Pratiques des Arts, Artists Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, and the newspaper Le Parisien. Today, Nicolas exhibits alongside renowned artists, and his works are included in numerous private collections throughout Europe and North America. His artistic objective: constant evolution. This is his first solo exhibition in Montreal. ___________________________________ Nicolas Martin (né en 1980) est un artiste peintre français originaire de Paris, aujourd’hui installé à Montréal, au Canada. En 2003, il remporte le premier prix de la bourse « Fondation de la Vocation » à Paris. Il débute sa carrière de peintre professionnel en 2013 avec une exposition personnelle très remarquée à la Galerie L’Œil du Prince à Paris, suivie d’une seconde exposition solo l’année suivante.
