In the first class, discuss survival and safety techniques including terrain, path markers, weather conditions, and clothing and footwear for basic hiking. Then put your skills to the test on three Saturday day hikes. Enjoy a different trail each week. The first class meets on campus; remaining classes meet at the designated hiking location. You must attend the first class to participate in any of the hikes.
