Messiah's Advent Cantata 2025: Peace Has Come

Step into the wonder of Advent as our Chancel Choir and full orchestra present Peace Has Come by Knoxville composer—and friend to Church of the Messiah—Mary McDonald. Woven from beloved and new carols, this sweeping work moves from the hush of waiting to the triumph of “Gloria,” with soloists and readers bringing the story to life. As Mary writes, Christmas reminds us what truly matters—family, children, Jesus, miracles, and the sustaining gifts of joy, love, hope, and peace.
