The park will provide poles and bait, but families are welcome to bring their own equipment if they have it. Our STEM team will provide a fun interactive activity for everyone as well!WHENSunday, June 28th, 10am-1pmWHOAll ages and abilities are welcome!WHERESharon Woods Metro Park6911 Cleveland Avenue., Westerville, OH 43081 - Main Rd as you enter the park, the road will end in a parking lot at Schrock Lake.**Meet Up Point: Schrock Lake, Dock 1-follow the sidewalk, you will see the dock from the parking lot.NOTES• Borrowed (sanitized) fishing gear and supplies (pole, reel, bait, etc.) will be provided. One shared pole per family/group.• No experience is required! Our Metro Parks Naturalist will provide fishing instructions and a demonstration.• Parents/Guardians must stay with their child at all times. We encourage family participation!• Fishing dock is accessible to individuals using wheelchairs, gait trainers, etc.• In the event of inclement weather, the outing will be canceled and rescheduled.• Registration IS REQUIRED and space is limited. Register today to reserve your spot!REMINDERS• The fishing area is located in the sun. We recommend your child and family wear sun protection (sunscreen, hat, etc).• Restrooms are available but do not have running water. Please bring any extra water you may need.• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes ideal for the weather.
