We are officially a UCWDC sanctioned event.
The Buckeye Dance Festival has been accepted and added to the world listing of events with the United Country Western Dance Council, and I could not be more excited to share this news.
We are proud to become the first country dance competition in Columbus, Ohio under the UCWDC banner. This is a historic moment not just for us, but for the dancers across Ohio who have been traveling out of state for years to compete at this level.
Buckeye Dance Festival will be Ohio’s center of dance and connection.
A three-day experience of social dancing and competitive dancing.
February 25th -28th, 2027.
This is bigger than one event.
This is the beginning of building more country dance competitions throughout the state of Ohio and expanding opportunities for dancers everywhere.
I am incredibly grateful to the mentors and leaders within the UCWDC who supported me, challenged me, prepared me, and encouraged me throughout this past year leading up to the presentation. Your belief and guidance made this possible.
Now the real work begins.
