- **Event Description**: Something exciting is happening at St. Margaret's church at our first Evensong for the year. You might even notice something new about our church space!

As a result of a very generous donation, St Margaret's church has acquired an organ for the purposes of furthering congregational musical worship in the church and to extend the repertoire of our choir. We hope that you will come along to a very special service of Evensong (6pm, 8th March) where we will dedicate the new instrument and hear it for the very first time.

Choral Evensong is a service of Evening prayer, with its roots in the catholic celebration of Vespers and taken from the Book of Common Prayer (1662). It is predominantly sung by the choir, with a few short readings, prayers and congregational hymns and lasts about 40 minutes. 

It is a calming and inspiring way to give thanks for the week that is past, and to pray for the week to come. 

St Margaret's welcomes you to come and share with us in this important milestone for our community.
