Come for the day or the weekend. The picnic will be Saturday the 22nd. Those that like to camp or stay at the nearby Pines Ranch and make it a weekend getaway.Michele Pujol and Brent Petrini built their Aframe Cabin a few years ago on a beatiful 4 acre treed lot. The cabin sits on the mountain side with large valley views across to the Wet Mountains with both tall Pines and Aspens.Enjoy a day in the mountains or come for the whole weekend! Saturday August 22nd is our Annual Tbird Picnic.You can go up the trail from our house towards the rainbow trail - for anyone wanting to hike. There is also smith mountain trail for hiking. I haven't done these but Cyclists can explore the Western Express Bike Route, and horseback riding is available through Buffalo Peak Outfitters or Bear Basin Pack. Finally you can visit the lavender farm in Cotopaxi on the weekends 11-4pm. In town there are some coffee shops and ice cream shops, a luxury chocolate shop, some art galleries a few restaurants and the jones theater where you can see movies or plays. But they dont' have their aug schedule yet. We have 4 acres to tent camp or small rv camp (limited space for rvs). There's an amish deli, an amish furniture store, and a bowling alley. We can have some campground games like Bocce Ball and Cornhole...If staying overnight you may camp or stay at the nearby Pines Lodge with rustic cabins rentals for singles, couples and families. Nestled up against the back of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, 15 minutes from the historic Town of Westcliffe.Accommodations:Michelle just spoke to Tracy, and they do have vacancy for our picnic weekend.
