- **Event Description**: My name is Luna Burns and I’ll be leading the group Tai Chi class at Amelioration Health. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago. It is where I dedicated my time pursuing my passions of understanding health and wellness practices such as yoga, meditation, and breath work. As well as studying intentional movement and martial arts for 10 years. Since moving to Silver Cliff, I’ve been made aware that many people in our community were seeking to try Tai Chi. I felt compelled to reach out with creating this class within the as soon as possible. Thanks to Ashley's help, we are now able to do just that. I will be leading a weekly class where we practice and discuss Tai Chi and its different forms. Along with breathing techniques, low impact stretching and gentle movement. Tai Chi can have such a positive impact on our lives both mentally and physically, a healing practice I am ecstatic to be able to share with you. I am so very grateful to meet with everyone soon and start our journey to peaceful wellbeing together.
Nothing is required for the class, I recommend comfortable clothes of your choosing. You may also bring mat or blanket to stand on if that is your preference. If not, that’s okay! Tai chi can be done anywhere with no materials whatsoever.
Classes will be run by donation, with a suggested amount of 10$ and will be starting on Thursdays from 4-5 pm.
(This time might change in the future, and more classes may be added in the morning and on other days depending on everyone’s needs)
