Memories of Trees

In Memories of Trees, Ragazze Quartet gives trees a musical voice and fills the space with a new composition for string quartet and tape by composer Kate Moore in a magical world of light and projections.

When the members of the Ragazze Quartet searched for the origins of their wooden string instruments, they discovered the fascinating world of annual tree rings. A fascination with the role of trees as silent witnesses of history was born and takes shape in a poetic concert where music interprets the memories of trees.

Memories of Trees will premiere on Oerol Festival and will then play in several theatres and on festivals in The Netherlands.
