The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce will hold its next one-minute networking event from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the recently remodeled and expanded Western New York Federal Credit Union, located at 1937 Union Road, West Seneca. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. and light refreshments will be provided. The event is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers, and reservations are required.
The event will take place during the Chamber’s annual Community Food Drive to support local food pantries, and attendees are asked to bring a donation of unexpired, nonperishable food items and/or personal care products if they are able.
“I’m thrilled for this opportunity to help Western New York Federal Credit Union showcase their recent renovations to business and organizational leaders from across our community,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “And if we can help our local food pantries by collecting a few donations in the process, it’s a win-win.
“These fun and casual networking events have become much more popular since we began holding them at member locations a couple of years ago. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to showcase our member businesses and organizations, and we’ve found great success with these simple yet productive networking events. Attendance remains very strong, meeting after meeting!”
At these meetings, participants have approximately one minute to introduce themselves and give a brief update on their business or organization. In addition to having a one-minute spotlight, attendees have extra time to network with other business and organizational leaders following the meeting. Participants are invited to bring business cards and/or promotional items to share with other guests.
