Expect to learn about the protection and ecology of our local baylands and to help take care of our public lands. During our time together, we will be planting California native plants that grow specifically in the marshlands of the San Francisco Bay and removing invasive non-native plants. Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf. Volunteers age 12 and under require an accompanying adult. IN ADDITION, all volunteers must sign the City of Mountain View's waiver in person, youth under 18 must bring a parent/legal guardian to sign on their behalf.Parking: Shoreline Golf Links Parking Lot [Google Maps link]Alternate Transportation: Walking/Human-powered locomotion: Take the Bay Trail. This trail is a popular paved pedestrian/cycling trail that is connected to many other paved trails such as the Permanente Creek Trail, Stevens Creek Trail, Adobe Creek Loop Trail. Bus: noneMeeting Space: Bay Trail at Mountain View Slough marshlands directly south of Pond A2W [Google Maps link]. Please note that this is about a 6 min (0.3 mile) walk from the parking lot.
